Port Arthur 2/12

Saw everything. Jam packed. Unzoo, devils kitchen, Tasman arch, lavender park, historic site.

Doo Town- a small place we drove through on our excursion outside of HAL. Our guides name was mark and he was incredible. All of the homes had a sign such a “Dr. Doolittle” “Toucan Doo” “Wattle I Doo” “Doodle Doo” “Much-A-Doo” “Didgeri Doo” and the list goes on…

We also spotted a huge blackberry bush at one of our stops by the beach. They reminded me of my papa, because he loved them. They were chefs kiss. So amazing!

Although it was a short day at port, we ended with a scenic sail around Cape Raoul

Hobart 2/12-13

I saw the southern cross for the first time!

The wooden boat festival happens once every two years, and we caught the tail end of it. We were able to see a presentation on historic scuba gear, rope tying, wood carving, etc. It was an incredible bonus to an already beautiful city. They had live music, and fireworks at the end of the evening!

St. David’s Cathedral also happened to be having a festival at the same time- their 55th annual floral festival (Blooming Church). The theme was living water. We were able to vote on which piece we liked best.

We were there in time to catch an organ recital that closed out the end of the 3 day festival.

Tittle Loo Doo,

Tay
